Sounding Out, Creative Collective Workshop with Maja Zećo and James Green
Creative Collective events are for young people, aged 16 to 21, to come together and explore creativity in Aberdeen Art Gallery.
These friendly and informal workshops allow young people to work with experienced artists to explore the themes and processes in contemporary art practice.
What sounds can be made with everyday items? Join artists James Green and Maja Zećo in this sound art workshop revealing the hidden hums and textures of everyday life. The artists will provide microphones and devices that can be used to amplify and uncover these delicate sounds. All other materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own small 'instruments' such as charcoal, sticks, tape, or anything you would like to experiment with!
If you have any questions or suggestions, contact the artists via their social media channels or email AAGMLearning@aberdeencity.gov.uk
Places are free but limited, so booking is essential. Drop-ins on the day are welcome, providing there is space.
