Celebrate the long evenings of the Scottish summer with a relaxed programme of music by Scottish Ensemble, a group of 12 outstanding musicians who champion music written for strings. Let us take you on an atmospheric journey through an eclectic potpourri of musical styles, including Mozart’s scampering, energetic Magic Flute Overture, Vask’s shimmering Musica Serena and Dvorak’s American Quartet, evoking expansive, wide-open vistas.
To take advantage of that evening sun this concert takes place in the spectacular light-filled Sculpture Court at Aberdeen Art Gallery. We invite you to grab a drink (the first is on us!), settle in, and enjoy an evening of superb music, before heading home in the gloaming.
