The Last Testament of Alexander Jaffray dates from 1673. Jaffray was twice Provost of Aberdeen and converted to Quakerism later in life, at a time when doing so inevitably meant persecution.

Phil considers the importance of the manuscript and what it tells us about how the burgh was intimately involved in the persecution of the Quaker community.
