Entrance and Welcome Reception
Level One
An introduction to Aberdeen’s maritime heritage, featuring the Duthie Deckhouse and Rattray Head lighthouse lens. In Provost Ross’s House you can see artworks in the Picture Gallery and learn about fishing and whaling in north-east Scotland.
Level Two
Displays of historic models and paintings covering the age of sail. Exhibitions on Aberdeen-built ships, the fishing industry and drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea.
Look for the Special Exhibition Gallery, currently displaying 'Between the Lines' on this level, as well as the display about the life of Thomas Blake Glover, ‘The Scottish Samurai’.
Level Three
Enjoy magnificent views over the busy harbour from the Museum’s top floor. The Harbour Gallery tells the story of its development from medieval times to the present day.
