How we use your information
The Torry Health Matters Network Project is a collaboration between Aberdeen City Council and partners to strengthen working relationships and increase communication between services, organisations and the community to focus on the health and wellbeing of the Torry community.
We collect and process information about you to participate in health and wellbeing activities in Torry. We will use your contact details where you have indicated your interest in participating in a group activity, focus group or survey.
Your responses may be used in the production of reports/published articles to internal and external partners. You will not be personally identifiable in these reports or articles unless we ask for your permission.
Who we share information with
We may share your contact information within Torry Health Matters Network Project partners where you have indicated you wish to participate in an activity. The partner organisations have their own privacy notice information for managing your information.
How long we keep your information
We will keep your personal information for the duration of the Torry Health Matters Project so that we have the means to contact you. If you decide to cease participation in the project, we will delete your information. We will keep the statistical information for the current financial year plus 5 years for reporting purposes.
Your rights
You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have not handled your data properly.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this data. Wherever we process personal data we must have a legal basis in data protection law and tell you what it is. The Council understands our legal basis for processing is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of the official authority vested in the Council. In doing this, the Council is also likely to process special categories of personal data. The Council understands our legal basis for doing so is because it is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest.
