How we use your information
Aberdeen City Council is asking for this information so that we can find out about your current experience of School Age Childcare in Aberdeen City and your future requirements. We will use this information to:
- Review the uptake and delivery of School Age Childcare across the city;
- Inform the ongoing development and delivery of School Age Childcare;
- Inform future policy;
- Meet our statutory consultation duties under the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act
- 2014; and
- To support the National School Age Childcare Framework Delivery Plan.
We do not need your name, address or any other contact details as part of this consultation so you can respond anonymously. If you do identify yourself or your child in any of the responses to the questions we have asked, we will not use this information for our analysis.
Who we will share information with
The School Age Childcare consultation report will be published on the Aberdeen City Council website and shared with the Scottish Government for the purpose of audit and evaluation. The report will not contain information that can identify individuals.
How long we keep your information
We will keep your response until we have completed the analysis that will inform the School Age Childcare Report. We will keep statistical information for one year from the end of the consultation.
The report will be published on the Council’s website and will be kept permanently. This will not contain any data that can identify you as an individual.
Your rights
You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. Find out more about all of the rights you have. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office. That is the body responsible for making sure organisations like the Council handle your data lawfully.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this data. Wherever we process personal data we must have a legal basis for processing as necessary for the performance of a task caried out in the public interest or in the exercise of the official authority vested in the Council. This is because Aberdeen City Council have the statutory obligation to regularly consult with parents and carers
regarding the care of their children under the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
