How we use your information
Aberdeen City Council Libraries collects, and stores limited personal information to facilitate the payment and collection of a printing service using the Princh App.
Your information is being collected and used by Aberdeen City Council for the following purposes:
- Your name or unique identifier is collected to identify your print requests when paying in person at an Aberdeen City Library.
- Credit or Debit card details to process payment for the print service.
How long we keep your information for
Documents printed and not collected will be removed from the printer and held securely for 24 hours and then securely disposed.
We will keep the information relating to your payment for the current financial year plus six years.
Your rights
You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have not handled your data properly.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for your information. Wherever the Council processes your data, we need to make sure we have a legal basis in data protection law and tell you what it is. The Council understands our legal basis for processing your data is necessary for performance of a contract with you to use a wireless printing facility.
