Aberdeen City Council uses the information you provide to hold a general record of you as a customer, and to provide you with an online account to access our services if you choose to do so. This information is only used to provide you with other services when you submit it for that purpose.
How long we keep your information for
You have the ability to update and replace data within your online account at any time. Records are kept of services you access via your online account. Please refer to the relevant Council service privacy notice for this type of information.
Your rights
You have rights to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. See more information about all of the rights you have and how they work in practice as well as contact details for the Council’s Data Protection Officer. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think that we haven’t handled your data properly.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this information. Wherever the Council processes personal data, we need to make sure we have a legal basis for doing so in data protection law.
