How we use your information
We use your personal information in order to process and manage your request for a memorial seat or bench. We will use your contact details to keep in touch with you about your request, to contact you if we have any queries and to speak to you about the maintenance of the seat or bench.
How long we keep your information for
We will keep this information for 2 years after the seat or bench is decommissioned. We will keep a record of your payment for 6 years from the date of transaction.
You have rights to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. See more information about all the rights you have including the contact details for the Council’s Data Protection Officer. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we haven’t handled your data properly.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this information. Wherever we process personal data we have to make sure we have a legal basis for doing so in data protection law. We understand our basis for processing your data as being necessary for the performance of a contract between the Council and yourself.
