How we use your information

When you take part in Creative Learning projects, Creative Learning, Aberdeen City Council, keeps a record of the information you provide or agree to be provided on your behalf. This is used to tailor projects to meet participant needs. If you provide contact details, we will only use these to contact you in relation to your involvement in the project including signposting on to other relevant opportunities.

Creative Learning does not share this information with any other organisation or Council business area. If you decide you no longer want to take part in the project, please email us at creativelearningteam@aberdeencity.gov.uk and we will delete your information and you will not receive any further updates relating to the project.

How long we will keep your information for

We will keep your information for three years from the end date of your involvement in the project for reporting and signposting purposes, following which your personal data will be deleted. Any evaluation data that you provide will be anonymised.

Your rights

You’ve got legal rights about the way the Council handles and uses your data, which include the right to ask for a copy of it, and to ask us to stop doing something with your data. Our legal basis

Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this your information. Wherever the Council processes your data, we need to make sure we have a legal basis for doing so in data protection law. The Council understands our legal basis for processing this information as Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, because you have consented by taking part in this Creative Learning project. You can withdraw this at any time, as explained above.
