How we use your information
By participating in this engagement exercise, you will help Aberdeen City Council determine what is important to you and your community about the development of the City Centre and the Beach. This in turn will inform the priorities of the review exercise and decisions Aberdeen City Council will make on change and improvements.
Your responses to the questions will be used for statistical purposes only and will not identify you as an individual.
If you decide to provide any comments, we may use them in the Committee Report which will be published on the Council website.
How long we keep your information
Responses will be kept until we complete the analysis that will inform the Aberdeen City Centre Review. The City Centre Masterplan and the Beach Review will be communicated to Council Committee in the form of a Report, which will be published on the Council website and will be kept permanently.
Your rights
You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have not handled your data properly.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for your information. Wherever we process personal data we must have a legal basis in data protection law and tell you what it is. The Council’s legal basis for this processing is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of the official authority vested in the Council. In doing so we are also likely to process special categories of personal data about you. The Council’s legal basis for doing so is that it is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest.
