How we use your information
Aberdeen City Council will collect and record information as part of this consultation and engagement process. By participating in this process, you will help to inform the priorities for improvement for those seeking community based mental health support. The data collected will be used to inform areas for improvements and to reveal where we can better support individuals to achieve improved outcomes during their interactions with health and social care mental health services. The data will also be used to assist with the creation of future documentation, planning and management of health and social care metal health services.
Your views and comments will be used to report on the consultation and engagement process. Individuals will not be identified in the report.
The consultation also asks questions about you. This information is voluntary. By providing this information you help us to monitor the statistical data to ensure the Council is interacting in a balanced way with groups of people with protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
If you would like to be kept up to date about the consultation and engagement process and to hear more about how you can be involved, we will use your name and email address to keep in touch with you. This is entirely your choice whether or not to enter your name and email address, you can complete the consultation anonymously if you wish. You can change your mind about this at any time by emailing achscpengagement@aberdeencity.gov.uk and we will delete your name and email address.
Who we share information with
We may share summary data with the potential service providers that note an interest in the tender process. This will not contain any data that can identify you as an individual.
How long we keep your information for
We will keep a copy of your response until we complete the analysis. We will keep summary data for 3 years beyond publication of any strategy documentation. This will not contain any data that can identify you as an individual.
Your rights
You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. See more information about all the rights you have, how they work in practice as well as the contact details for the Council’s Data Protection Officer. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think we haven’t handled your data properly.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this information. Wherever we process data, we need have a legal basis in data protection law for doing so. The Council understands our legal basis for processing your data in relation to the consultation and engagement process is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of the official authority vested in the Council.
In doing so, we are also likely to process special categories of personal data about you. The Council understands our legal basis for doing so as being necessary for reasons of substantial public interest.
Where you have provided us with your name and email address to keep you up to date about the consultation and engagement process, the Council understands our legal basis for doing so as consent. You can withdraw this at any time as explained above.
