Your data: Aberdeen City Council’s People’s Champion nominations

How we use your information

As part of our annual staff recognition awards Aberdeen City Council is asking you to nominate an exceptional Council employee or team that you think are worthy of being crowned People’s Champion 2022.

Nominations are anonymous and we do not collect any of your personal data. However, please be aware that the nomination details will be shared with the judging panel and may be published to our website in order for a winner to be selected.  If you do provide your name, we will not pass this on to the judges or published it, however, your nomination may indirectly identify you.

How long we keep your information for

We will keep your nomination until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.

Your rights

You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think that we haven’t handled your data properly.

Our legal basis

Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this data. Wherever we process personal data we must have a legal basis in data protection law. The Council understands our legal basis as being part of our public task under the Local Government Act 2003, Section 20.
