Visit your local library for... 

Books, graphic novels, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, Wii Games and lots more. Get help with homework, hobbies and projects with free internet access and online databases.

Remember you can also borrow books, DVDs and CDs from the adult sections of the library too from the age of 12.

Want to join? Visit any library in Aberdeen with your parent or guardian and ask them to take along proof of identify and join for free. If you have an Accord Card you may have library membership on your Accord card already - ask a member of staff to check for you or contact your local library. Know what you want to read?

Once you have joined the library you can get a PIN (Personal Identification Number) so you can reserve or renew books and other items online.

Go to the Online Catalogue and find the item you want to reserve, then click on Reserve and follow the prompts. When the item arrives at the library, you will be notified by email.

Suggestions for stock 

If we do not have the book you are looking for then why not suggest that the book be bought for stock.

You can do this at the library or you can suggest an item online.

Stuck for something to read? Want to try a different genre to your usual? Then visit our recommended reads page and find a new favourite.
