National Planning Performance Framework 2025

The Planning Performance Framework which ran from 2013-2023 has been replaced by the National Planning Improvement Framework (NPIF) which was developed by the Improvement Service and was tested in three separate cohorts throughout 2024-25. Aberdeen participated in the third cohort and was twinned with Falkirk Council for peer review. The Action Plan will form the focus of improvement activity by the planning service over the next couple of years and will be closely monitored.
