Aberdeen City Council has created this app to allow citizens to find their nearest Naloxone kit and relevant support services quickly and easily. Your post code or location data is required for the ‘Find my Nearest’ functionality. This information will only be used to provide you with the location of the nearest Naloxone kit to you and information on relevant support services.
How long we keep your information for
We do not keep the location data required to perform the ‘Find my Nearest’ functionality.
We will keep data about how users navigate through the app for 30 days for the purposes of quality assuring and improving user experience. You can not be identified from this data.
Your rights
You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. See more information about all the rights you have and how they work in practice, as well as contact details for the Council’s Data Protection Officer. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have not handled your data properly.

Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for the information collected. wherever we process personal information we have to make sure we have a legal basis for doing so in Data Protection law. We understand our legal basis for processing is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of the official authority vested in the Council.
