What's it like in your country? (2017): This book along with the dedicated project website compares daily life in 11 different countries as seen through the eyes of the children. It is the result of the school exchange project that we ran and facilitated from January to June 2017. Broad topic areas include: The Environment, Food, School, Sport and Leisure, Tourist Attractions and Transport. Contains both English and French text.

Previous publications

Achieving Gender Equality in Scotland, Europe and the Rest of the World (2016): This resource was produced in partnership with Montgomery Development Education Centre (MDEC). It explores the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a particular focus on SDG 5 Achieving Gender Equality. Designed for use in upper primary school and lower secondary school it contains background information on policies and multiple activities for incorporating into lesson plans. Many of the activities are adaptable for use with other age groups including adults.   

Finding a Safe Home; Refugees' Journeys to Scotland(2016): This book explores the Refugee Crisis at a local, national and European level. Throughfacts and real life stories you will be able to explore the difference between refugees and economic migrants, how many refugees are arriving in Scotland, how Aberdeen and its community are assisting and welcoming newcomers to the city, the plight of women and children and the EU effort to mitigate the crisis.

I Love Leftovers (2015):An eclectic mix of recipes for using up leftover food submitted from people across the EU. This book offers ideas and tips which can help you save money and help the environment at the same time. Additionally you will find information on European and global actions relating to food waste and sustainability.

Tales of Fishing the North Sea (2015) - Explores, compares and contrasts the experiences, culture, folklore and EU policythat unitesfishing communities around the North Sea. The book featuresstories and fishingculture fromNorway, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Scotland.

Let's Walk the EU (2015) Produced for European Week of Mobility 2015 this booklet is the result of collaborating with colleagues from across the EDIC network, local schools, the library and other council departments. Explore the pages for interesting illustrated walks in and around Aberdeen. You'll also find plenty tips, facts and stats about getting from A to B in Europe, the UK and Scotland.

EU Marine Species: their survival in our hands (2014) - Examines the threats to biodiversity in our seas and oceans around the EU and in the world at wide, explains what the EU is doing to tackle these threats and what we as citizens can do to help.

The Impact of the Great War on Aberdeen and Its Twin Cities (2014) - Features various articles on the shared experience of war in Europe during WW1.

Safer Internet Day: Making the Internet a Better Place (2014) - Tips for staying safe on the internet created as part of Safer Internet Day 2014.
