Library Champions

Are you interested in becoming a Library Champion?

Library Champions are young people (8-15yrs) who act as ambassadors for libraries in Aberdeen.  Library Champions represent young people in the city and are involved in evaluating, planning and developing library services and initiatives for young people.

What do you think young people would like to see in our libraries?  What kind of events should we have?  What initiatives or innovations do you think would benefit young people in the city?

Get involved! Be heard! Contribute!

Can you commit to:

  • one meeting a month?  There may be opportunities to support library activities outside of this meeting.
  • six months of being an active member of the Library Champions team?
  • travelling to a different Aberdeen City library each month?
  • helping us to deliver the BEST library services we can for young people in the city?
  • being a champion for our initiatives? e.g. Aberdeen Reads Summer Challenge.

If you're keen to get involved and share your thoughts, opinions and ideas about library services of the future, get in touch by emailing LearningDevelopment@aberdeencity.gov.uk
