Your library membership enables you to access, for free, a varied range of online resources. These are listed alphabetically below.

Access To Research allows users to browse thousands of academic articles on a wide variety of subjects.

Access World News (Newsbank) offers a comprehensive news collection which is ideal for exploring issues and events at the local, regional, national and international level. Its diverse source types include print and online-only newspapers, blogs, newswires, journals, broadcast transcripts and videos. One key feature of the resource is a text to speech function allowing the user to listen to the articles.

Ancestry Library Edition is one of the world's biggest and best commercial family history services. The library edition provides access to all of the records but does not feature some of the options possible with an individual account.

British Newspaper Archive contains millions of pages of historical news content, including The Press and Journal (1748 - 1950) and The Evening Express (1879 - 1955) and enables keyword searching. The website offers the ability to download and save articles in PDF format.

Go Citizen for the UK Test is a study resource for candidates preparing for the life in the UK or UK citizenship tests. It includes an online version of the latest official study materials plus hundreds of practice test questions in the same format as the official tests.

Grid Club is a children's website offering educational resources, games, quizzes and activities based round curricular areas. Aimed mainly at 7 to 11 year olds, there are also some activities for 5 to 7s and 11 and over.

Oxford Art Online is an authoritative resource detailing the world of art and artists. Incorporating Grove Art, as well as Benezit Dictionary of Artists, users can browse articles on a wide range of subjects, including history, styles and biographies.
