In 1871 the Council transformed 13 acres of grazing land into Aberdeen’s first public park. Named after Queen Victoria, the park represents a desire to improve the quality of life in an urban setting.
The park’s central feature is an ornamental granite fountain gifted to the city by the Granite Polishers and displays the variety of granite quarried in the Aberdeen area.
A great place for afternoon walks, dog walks and sunbathing.
