The civic rooms on the second floor of the Town House are mainly used as venues for civic receptions, citizenship ceremonies and civil marriages/partnerships, as well as some large committee meetings and Council events.
These rooms are also available for private hire, and are often used for meetings, lectures, talks and seminars. You can see photographs of the rooms in the civic rooms gallery.
For further information or to arrange a viewing, please contact the Town Sergeants using the details provided. To make a booking, please download the application form below and email the completed form to the Town Sergeants.
Please note that:
- The civic rooms are not appropriate for all types of event, but when you get in touch we can advise whether they would be a suitable venue for your event.
- We don't allow the use of outside caterers in the Town House so you must use the Council's own catering service for any catering required.
