Request your Child’s Educational Records

Parents/carers have a right to access to access this under the Pupils' Educational Records (Scotland) Regulations 2003.

Please note that you can only ask for the following information under the Pupil's Educational Records Regulations; general education records, school reports and attainment information. 

If you require information in relation to pastoral notes, Coordinated Support Plans, Individual Educational Plans, information about Additional Special Needs, you will need to make a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act 2018.

Before you can make a subject access request, you will need to set up an account. This is so you can track the progress of your request. You can use this form to request a copy of your child’s educational record

Once we receive your completed form and sufficient proof of identity, we will aim to respond to your request within 15 calendar days. In certain circumstances, we may need extra time. If this is necessary we will let you know and explain why. We may also need to contact you to confirm that you hold Parental Rights and Responsibilities for the child or young person you are requesting information for. A member of the Access to Information Team will be in contact with you if further information is required.

Your rights 

You have other rights in relation to the information we hold about you. This includes the right to have your information corrected, deleted, transferred, or to object to it being processed.
