SDS and Neurological Conditions - February 2023

The Neurological Alliance of Scotland have worked with SDS Scotland to produce three guides regarding SDS and people with neurological conditions  – one for health and social care professionals working with people with neurological conditions, one for the parents of children and young people with neurological conditions, and one for third sector/voluntary organisations working with people with neuro conditions.

The guides were launched last month and are available online here: What is a neurological condition? | Neurological Alliance of Scotland (scottishneurological.org.uk)

The guides have had input from Social Work Scotland, SDS Scotland, carers of people with neuro conditions, as well as the neurological charities which are members of the Neurological Alliance of Scotland. They are a ‘ready reckoner’ for clinicians, social care professionals, voluntary orgs, and families of people with neuro conditions to explain about SDS and how to access.
