This service offers customers the opportunity to access health information with support and guidance, allowing people to play a more active role in their own health and wellbeing.

Based within the Information Centre of Central Library but working across the city through the network of community libraries, Health Information Plus is available on a drop-in or appointment basis and accepts enquiries on any matter relating to health information.

Complemented with a Healthy Reading collection of books which covers a wide array of physical and mental health conditions, the service offers people the opportunity to access health information, in all its available formats, supplying guidance and advice on how to ensure that the information is the most correct, authoritative, and most up to date available.

Enquiries can also be answered by email and telephone through healthinfo@aberdeencity.gov.uk and 01224 070707, allowing people to use whichever communication method suits their needs.

 

Appointments can be held in person or virtually, on a 1-2-1 basis with Aberdeen City Libraries' Health & Wellbeing Librarian.

Drop-in sessions at the Health Information Plus Point in Information Centre, Central Library are available 10am - 1pm (Mondays) and 2pm - 4.30pm (Wednesdays).
