Free classes and fresh faces have Aberdeen’s Peacock Print Studio abuzz as it welcomes newcomers to roll up their sleeves and get in among the ink-pots and presses.
A Doors Open Day for the studio will be hosted by student interns on September 10, keen to share their enthusiasm for the city institution as it emerges from lockdown with a bold vision for itself.
The rolling programme of workshops in monoprint, cyanotype, linocut, black-light print, drypoint and crowd-pleasing festive and Halloween scream printing are available for signup over the coming months.
Clocking almost 50 years in Aberdeen, Peacock has built a reputation for excellence, but Joe hopes the Doors Open Day demonstrates the wider community also has a place there.
