The newest Café Med features Professor Neil Vargesson, Chair in Developmental Biology and Dr Alastair Lawrie, Consultant Haematologist, NHS Grampian.

They will be exploring the history and infamous actions of Thalidomide and their importance to this day. You will also learn to how it is now used to treat a range of conditions and look at research to retain the clinical benefits of the drug whilst removing some of the potential risks.
