Multi Agency Training

*This training is for professionals working in Aberdeen City*

During this multi agency training session we will define both Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and Child Trafficking and discuss the impact of these forms of abuse on children and young people. We will look at the indicators of both CSE and trafficking before moving on to provide useful tools and resources for practitioners to use when working with potential victims of CSE. We will cover sexting and the law, contextual safeguarding and Child Criminal Exploitation. Finally, we discuss the National Referral Mechanism and why it's so important to complete this when working with a victim of trafficking.

 

The aims of this training are:

To understand the connection between Child Trafficking and Child Sexual Exploitation.

To increase professionals confidence in identifying and dealing with cases of trafficking proactively.

To increase professionals confidence in identifying and dealing with cases of sexual exploitation proactively.
