Your data: venue hire

How we use your information

Aberdeen City Council provides a bookings and hire service at a number of venues. As part of this service we will collect your name, phone number, email and correspondence address. This information will be stored with regard to your hire and will be used to make your booking, to send any correspondence, and where applicable to forward any charge due.

We may share your information with management and administrative staff.

How long we keep your information for

We will keep your booking information for for 6 years.

Where there is a charge for venue hire, financial information will be kept for the current financial year plus 6 years. 

Your rights

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office if you haven't handled you data properly.

Our legal basis

Wherever the Council processes personal data, we need to make sure we have a legal basis for doing so in data protection law. The Council understands our legal basis for processing personal data in relation to your application as being necessary for the performance of a contract. This is because the information is provided as part of a contract in order for you to book and let accommodation from us.
