How we use your information
When you apply to volunteer, Creative Learning, Aberdeen City Council keeps a record of the information you provide in the application to manage your volunteering experience. If you provide contact details, we will only use these to contact you in relation to your volunteering.
Creative Learning does not share this information with any other organisation or Council business area.
How long we keep your information for
We will keep your information for 12 months from the end date of your volunteering for reporting purposes, after which your data will be deleted.
If your application is not successful we will delete the application within 3 months of the advertised closing date.
Your rights
You’ve got legal rights about the way the Council handles and uses your data, which include the right to ask for a copy of it, and to ask us to stop doing something with your data. Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is the Data Controller for this your information. Wherever the Council processes your data, we need to make sure we have a legal basis for doing so in data protection law. The Council understands our legal basis for processing this information as Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, because you have consented by applying to volunteer. You can withdraw this at any time, as explained above, by contacting creativelearningteam@aberdeencity.gov.uk.
