Car parks and parking charges

There are a number of free car parks in Aberdeen. Please check the interactive map of car park locations.

Free parking is available after 5pm each day in the multi-storey car parks at Denburn, Chapel Street, Frederick Street, and West North Street for a trial period as part of the Alive @ 5 scheme. Find out more

Cashless Parking is a quick and secure way to pay for parking. Instead of having to find the right change for a pay and display machine, you can simply use your mobile phone to pay and be charged to your credit or debit card.

Short Stay

(4 Hours Maximum): 8am to 8pm Mon to Sat and 1pm to 5pm Sunday

The above car parks do not have barriers. Vehicles can still access and exit the car parks out with the times of operation and no parking charges apply during these times.

  • Marischal College Multi - Aberdeen City Council staff car park. The car park is available to the public on the following days and times; Thursday 6pm to 8.30pm, Saturday 8am to 6pm  and Sunday 1pm to 5pm.

    Please note: the car park barrier will be closed at the end of the day on Saturday at 6.30pm and Sunday at 5.30pm when both the pedestrian and vehicle access or exit is prohibited. This means that any vehicle left in the car park cannot be removed until 7.45am Sunday Morning or 6am Monday morning.

  • 2 to 3 Hours: £3.30

  • 3 to 4 hours: £4.40

  • 2 hour ticket (after 6pm Monday to Saturday only): £4.00

Outer Central Zones – 2 hour maximum

Charges apply from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sat only.

  • 2 hours (max stay): £4.00

Peripheral Zones – 3 hour maximum

If a parking meter is faulty, please use another parking meter with the same tariff and purchase a parking ticket, or use RingGo cashless parking. You can purchase your parking session using RingGo on your smart device, online, or by phone. To register and pay for your parking, visit the RingGo website, download the app or call 01224 510 510.
