Request removal of a dead animal

Aberdeen City Council is keeping an active check on the beach for dead birds and would remind the public that if they come across dead birds to report it to Aberdeen City Council.

We will remove dead animals from council-owned public spaces, roads and pavements.

We can also remove dead animals from non-council property and unadopted roads and pavements, however there is a £90 charge for this service. The charge is to attend; if we attend and we can't find the animal or can't access the property, you will not be entitled to a refund and may have to pay a further charge for another visit.

We will scan any cats or dogs we pick up for an owner information chip.

If the animal is small you can dispose of the remains in your garden and food waste bin if you have one.

Please call 03000 200 292 to request removal of a dead animal.

Please inform Scottish Marine Animal Stranding Scheme on 01463 243030, if you discover any dead whales, dolphins, porpoises, marine turtles, sharks, and seals.
