Reserving library items online

Customer Service Update - Coronavirus COVID-19

In response to the latest government advice on the coronavirus, Aberdeen City Council has today taken a number of steps to prevent further spread of the virus; protect employee and public health; and to ensure we can continue to deliver public services, especially to those who need us most.

As such we have made some changes to the reservation process in line with the fact we have reopened a limited number of libraries to the public. You are currently able to only reserve items for collection at one of the following libraries: Central Library, Airyhall Library, Bridge Of Don Library, Cove Library, Culter Library, Dyce Library, Mastrick Library and Tillydrone Library.

You can currently reserve books, audiobooks and other reading/listening materials via the Library Catalogue.

Please note that we have currently suspended the borrowing of our media catalogue including DVDs, Blu Rays and CDs. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

To do this you need to have your library card and pin number ready. Your pin number can be obtained by completing the PIN request form and will be emailed back to you or alternatively call into your library to obtain it from staff (you need to take your library membership card with you). You will be advised when your reserved item is ready for collection.
