Join us during the October holidays for a whole host of robotic-themed activities, including a Toy Teardown, Hebecon (build the world's best worst robot), coding clubs, and much, much more.

All the activities are supported by Aberdeen City Libraries' new Innovation Station, funded by The Scottish Library and Information Council.

 

LEGO Spike

Thursday 23 October, 10.30am at Central Library

Join us for an introductory session with LEGO SPIKE, a versatile educational tool that combines the fun of building with LEGO bricks and the challenge of programming.

Sessions suitable for ages 11-15.

Marty the Robot

Wednesday 22 October, 2.30pm at Mastrick Library

Thursday 23 October, 10am at Bridge of Don Library

Take your first steps into the world of robotics with this interactive session working with Marty The Robot. No previous experience required.

Suitable for ages 8-11.

Film Screening: Robots (U)

Tuesday 21 October, 2.30pm at Central Library

As part of Robotics Fortnight, join us for a family friendly screening of the 2005 animated film Robots.

Screening is presented in partnership with The Belmont Cinema.

Robot Building

Friday 24 October, 2pm at Central Library

A hands-on, interactive session where you can use our Makedo kits to create robots out of everyday matetrials.

Suitable for ages 4-7. Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.
