Find a Bookbug session near you
Bookbug sessions are free, friendly and fun sessions of stories, songs and rhymes for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their families and carers to enjoy together. Each session lasts around 30 minutes and they have been designed to support children’s development while having fun. They take place in a very relaxed environment and are a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your little one, meet other families and have fun together.
- Please note that to protect the privacy of families attending Bookbug sessions and to ensure the privacy and security of staff we do not allow photography, filming, audio or video recording at Bookbug sessions in Aberdeen City Libraries.
Booking opens seven days in advance of individual sessions. Places should be booked per adult; reservation of children's places is not required i.e. 1 adult and 2 children require 1 place. Bookings can be made online via our Events webpage or contact your local library. If you book and are unable to attend please let us know so the place can be offered to another parent/carer.
Our Bookbug sessions are incredibly popular and to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy them, we kindly ask that families only book on to a maximum of two sessions per month.
In addition, there are drop-in sessions held monthly at Bridge of Don (Fridays), Culter Library, Dyce Library (Mondays), Kincorth Library, Tillydrone Library and Torry Library.
