Aberdeen Reads Challenges

There will be 8 reading related challenges to complete this Summer as part of Aberdeen Reads. Challenges can be completed in any order.

Pick up or download a Challenge Card and get it stamped at your nearest library when you complete a challenge.

Incentives are available for readers aged 4-15 years, earning a little something when they log 1, 3, 6 and 8 challenges or books.

Head to your nearest library and pick up an Aberdeen Reads Challenge Card, or download one online, and get reading this Summer!

Our libraries will be running several FREE Aberdeen Reads-themed activities throughout the summer.  Check out our Events page for further information once the challenge is launched.

Every book read and logged with your nearest library during the Summer will earn Library Bear 10 years towards his journey through time.

Why not read a story or book set in another time or has a historical theme? We will have displays in every library and some online carousels to browse on our digital catalogue.

Which historical figures would you like to invite to lunch?  You can have 3 figures from the past attend your time travellers lunch!

Can you find all of the time travellers hiding around the library? This special Aberdeen Reads! themed Scavenger Hunt is available at every city library.
