Year of Young People creative funding 2018
2018 will be the Year of Young People (YoYP), a year aimed to inspire Scotland through our young people, celebrating their achievements, valuing their contributions to communities and creating new opportunities for young people to shine locally, nationally and on the international stage!
In recognition of Aberdeen City Council’s commitment to providing positive opportunities and pathways for young people and in celebration of the YoYP, we are establishing a new funding programme to support the delivery of youth-led creative activity in the city.
The £100,000 Year of Young People creative funding will build upon the city’s rich history and heritage of youth participation activity by empowering young people through creative pathway opportunities as well as having a voice in the decision making process.
Who can apply
We will consider applications from:
- Young people aged 16 to 25 who are residents of Aberdeen City.
- Not for profit organisations or community groups working with young people aged 8 to 25.
Individuals can apply for awards of up to £2,000 and organisations can apply for awards of up to £10,000.
Project must be youth-led and applications should be written by young people themselves unless there is a specific reason this is not possible.
