The 2023 European Pipe Band Championships is coming to Aberdeen this summer!!
In partnership with Aberdeen Inspired and The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, Aberdeen City Council is delighted to welcome pipe bands from across the world to Duthie Park on Saturday 24th June to participate in one of the largest piping events in the world. Around 101 bands and 25 drum majors are expected to travel to Aberdeen to take part.
The day will also feature a range of family fun activities that all ages can enjoy, as well as a selection of food and drink from local producers.

Parking
Please note there will be no parking available on site or in the area surrounding Duthie Park for patrons attending the event. Patrons are encouraged to use public transport or walk to the event.
A FREE shuttle service will run from Union Terrace in the City Centre from 9am to 5pm, with the last bus departing from Duthie Park at 7pm, and a paid for (£6) park and ride site will operate from Altens Farm Road, Aberdeen AB12 3FY. Tickets for the park and ride can be purchased in advance from Eventbrite. Full details of the shuttle service will be released in due course.

There are no parking facilities for Motorhomes, and users should seek appropriate parking which permits overnight stays.
Accessible Parking
Blue Badge Parking will be available on a first come first serve basis on Allenvale Road from 08:00am on the day. From here there is a short walk along public footpaths to the event site.
To get to Allenvale Road, drivers are advised to approach from the North of the City (using the AWPR if coming from the South), heading to Holburn Street and Crathie Terrace, which leads to Allenvale Road.
At Allenvale Road you will be required to show your blue badge to the steward, who will then direct you where to park.
Please note, there is no overnight parking permitted, and no access prior to 08:00 on the morning of the event.
Accessible toilets will be available on-site, and within the Park Cafe.
Wheelchair users will also be able to easily access the event as the Duthie Park is on level ground, most of which is concrete. A raised platform will also be in place around the arena.

Carers
Carers and essential companions can gain free entry to the European Pipe Band Championships to accompany an attending person who has bought a ticket. Dogs
Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a short lead and that they are able to cope with large crowds and loud noises. Owners must not allow their dogs to defecate in high traffic areas and must remove the waste immediately and placed in a dog waste bin.
