New council houses

We are building new council houses including houses and flats across Aberdeen. These are high quality homes which will be economical, sustainable, and energy efficient.
The major project involves building at several sites which form part of the wider Aberdeen City Council housing programme aiming to address a long-term shortage of affordable social rented housing in the city.

They will meet the most demand for council properties including flats for single people, flats for families, semi-detached family homes, terraced houses, wheelchair-friendly properties, and a small number of amenity bungalows. They are being designed for exacting standards including housing for various needs, dementia friendly, low carbon, low maintenance, and to meet the Gold Standard.

Progress so far on new council houses project includes:

Work is ongoing for the develop-led sites and more information about these will be available in time, along with other projects we are working on.

It is an exciting and extensive programme of new-builds for Aberdeen City Council and we are proud to bring these sustainable and energy efficient new council houses for our residents as part of our work to continue to make Aberdeen a fantastic place to live, work and spend time in.
