Torry Community Council

Dissolution of Torry Community Council

On Thursday 15 August, the Community Council were disbanded by Aberdeen City Council due to the membership numbers falling below the minimum number required (8).  The Community Council had 6 remaining members, 2 of which were co-opted members.  The co-option rules meant that there was not an option to add additional members.

In order for the Community Council to be re-established, residents within the Torry Community Council boundary will need to submit a valid application to establish a Community Council.

If any resident within the boundary would like more information regarding the role of a Community Council or the process to establish one they should contact the Community Council Liaison Officer for assistance.
