- Fluorescent tubes
- Food and drink cans
- Fridge and freezers
- Garden waste (garden cuttings, weeds, leaves) *no food waste
- General bagged household waste
- Glass bottles and jars
- Household batteries
- Lightbulbs
- Paper
- Plastics (including bottles, pots, tubs, trays and empty deodorant containers)
- Sand
- Scrap metal
- Soil and compost
- Televisions
- Turf
- Wood
Please note
You must book an appointment to visit a Household Waste and Recycling Centre (HWRC) if you are taking:
- Paint or chemicals in any size of vehicle (these materials are only accepted at Hazlehead)
- Transit-type vans
- Cars with trailers
- People carriers above 7 seater capacity
- Pick up trucks
- Vans with a capacity above 4 cubic metres
Cars and small vans can continue to access the sites without a booking but will need to bring proof of address.
Commercial waste is not permitted at any time.
