The way we use library services is changing and technology means that many of us are doing a lot more for ourselves.

open+ has allowed us to extend the opening hours at Dyce Library, without changing the number of staffed hours, thus providing users with more choice about when they use the library.

Open+ allows us to extend the number of hours that Dyce Library is open. There will be no reduction in staffed hours, although there may be changes to staffed hours to meet customer needs.

Use the quiet space to meet or study, borrow books or other items through the self-service kiosks, use the computers and Wi-Fi as well as print from library PCs and from your own device via Princh.

There is CCTV coverage throughout the library building for your safety and peace of mind and emergency contact will be available. However, use of the library outside of staffed hours will be strictly at your own risk.

We provide an emergency telephone beside the self-service kiosk where you can contact library staff or the emergency services. You can use the phone for any kind of emergency, such as fire, flood, medical problems, or to report other members of the public abusing the facility.

A set of Terms and Conditions will be provided when you register for open+ access and you will be given an induction by staff. We will withdraw access privileges if we think that the service is being abused.

The regular staffed opening hours for Dyce Library are 10am-5pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday,
