Local government by-elections 2020

Kincorth/Nigg/Cove by-election

The Kincorth / Nigg / Cove by-election had been set to take place on Thursday 14th May 2020. However, in light of the coronavirus pandemic, legislation has been passed that allows Returning Officers to postpone forthcoming Scottish Local government by-elections and set a new date. Returning Officer, Fraser Bell, has made use of this legislation to postpone the Kincorth / Nigg / Cove by-election and set the new Polling Day as Thursday 5th November 2020.
