The latest in a series of ABZWorks jobs fairs will take place in Aberdeen next week (Tuesday 20 June) as part of ongoing efforts to support people into employment.
The ABZWorks Job Fair at Aberdeen Beach Ballroom, from 10am until 4pm, will enable people of all ages, including school leavers, those looking to return to work, or people looking for new opportunities, including summer work, to find out about opportunities directly from employers, and apply for available jobs.
Employers from across a range of industries and sectors will be present, with some offering the chance for interviews on the day. These will include jobs in the hospitality, care, construction, energy and the public sector with entry level roles as well as jobs which require some degree of skill or experience. Attendees are advised to bring copies of their CVs.
The jobs fair has been organised by Aberdeen City Council’s ABZWorks employability service in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and supported by Skills Development Scotland.
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Christian Allard said: “Aberdeen City Council’s ABZWorks jobs fairs have gained a great reputation amongst employers and members of the public, and are consistently well attended. They provide fantastic opportunities to find out about jobs available, how to apply for them, and secure employment.
“These job fairs not only bring together employers from across the city offering a range of opportunities, but also partner agencies to ensure the people who need it can access employability support.
