Fireworks at midnight
Bring in the bells this year at the ultimate Aberdeen street party! Three top-class musical acts will be the focal point of Aberdeen’s Hogmanay celebrations, closing the city’s festivities in style.
Performing live on stage at Schoolhill from 8.30pm, the musicians will entertain the crowds on December 31 before a fireworks display at the stroke of midnight.
First to perform on stage at 8.30pm will be local DJ Lauren Mitchell , followed by the Silver City Soul Revue, culminating with Kopycat Killers.
Just before midnight the music will end ready for the countdown to a unique and dedicated fireworks display best viewed from the event, guaranteed to welcome in 2022 in style.
General event information:
The only entrance to the event is via Schoolhill at the junction of Back Wynd and Harriet Street.
Due to current Covid –19 requirements this event will require all persons attending to show proof of vaccination via the Covid Vaccine Passport app.
Accessibility viewing - The event is fully accessible and an area has been provided for the comfort of those with accessibility needs beside the Art Gallery.
This event is not suitable for animals with the exception of assistance dogs.
Please note there will be large crowds, loud music and fireworks.
In the interest of public safety please do not bring your own fireworks to this event. Fireworks are not permitted and anyone found with fireworks will have them removed.
You are allowed to bring in alcohol to the event, though there will be a small bar at the event this year serving a limited menu including soft and hot drinks.
Please do not bring glass bottles into the event space as no glass is permitted, you will be required to decant into plastic cups.
Bag searches will be carried out.
