Aberdeen City Libraries are delighted to be taking part in the UK Poet Laureate's 10-year adventure for this free event live-streamed from the Central Library on Tuesday 27 April.

Simon Armitage and guest poet Mag Dixon, a three-times Foyle Young Poet winner from Cruden Bay, will read their poems and tell brief stories around them, live and in-person on site in the Library (COVID-19 restrictions permitting).

Simon is looking forward to the event, saying: “I want to celebrate the physical space of libraries and take my work back into places that have given me so much."

*Please note that you cannot attend the library in-person for this event, due to current Scottish government Covid restrictions on audiences. This is a live-streamed event hosted by the Laureate's Library Tour via CrowdCast*
