Details

Historic picture postcards provide a fascinating glimpse at life in times gone by. The firm Charles Helmrich and Sons was a prominent producer of well composed, high quality topographical postcards of Aberdeen and beyond in the first quarter of the 20th century.
View postcards were especially popular during Edwardian times and this Aberdeen firm created cards that were sold by many of the local retailers. Join researcher and postcard enthusiast Dr Andrew Cronshaw as he details his work to discover the people behind this once thriving business and their most successful range of cards, the Adelphi Series.
