A Splash of Colour

“A Splash Of Colour” is a new and exciting exhibition to visit the north east attracting local photographers, artists and creatives from around the region. For many exhibitors this is a first opportunity to take an active part showing their work to the public. A variety of very creative work is now on display at Horizons House, 81-83 Waterloo Quay, Aberdeen, AB11 5DE. Running for 2 weeks between 1-4 pm (excluding weekends) this is well timed for the up and coming pre Easter school holiday break.

Transport & People-Evening Talk Series 2019

Continuing from a successful Evening Talk Series last year we're excited to bring to you another Talk Series for 2019 which explores the relationship and themes between transport and people. Presentations will explore how organisations work together to bring transport improvements, health and active travel connections, current infrastructure improvements and plans as well as the role of big data. We would love to see you join us for another interesting series!

Human Trafficking: Fiction reflecting real life with Peter Ritchie

Crime novelist and retired police officer Peter Ritchie’s books follow the stories of fictional detective Superintendent Grace Macallan. The plight of sex workers and trafficked women features throughout the stories. With statistics in recent years showing Aberdeen as uncovering more brothels than any other Scottish city – trafficking is not just a theme in fiction but a reality in our city.

AberNecessities knitting and crochet group

AberNecessities knitting and crochet group meet every Wednesday from 6pm-7.45pm in the central library in the media centre. The group creates baby and children’s items from 0-12years. All items created will go to AberNecessities charity that will then be given to less privileged families in aberdeen and the shire.

All wool and needles will be provided. We also have some patterns that can be picked from but you can create anything, doesn’t have to be from a pattern.

Tea/ coffee and biscuits will be provided for 50p to cover costs and wool etc.

Yoga classes

Yoga class for adults. Beginners welcome.
Improves flexibility and reduces stress management.
Increases energy and teaches stress management.

Every Wednesday, 6.45pm-7.45pm at Froghall Community Centre, 14 Powis Place, Aberdeen
Entry fee is £4.00 per person/per class.

Attendees to wear comfortable clothing.
