Using CT scans and the latest medical visualisation techniques experts have been able to uncover insights into the life of Ta-Kheru, an Ancient Egyptian woman whose ceremonially mummified remains have been in the University of Aberdeen museums’ collections since the 18th century. The exhibition tells the story of Ta-Kheru, alongside an impressive holographic display of the CT scan and a facial reconstruction of The Lady of the House.

We all have a journey and story to tell. Whether you want to record these stories for yourself, your family or even your community join us for this creative writing workshop with award winning author Merryn Glover to explore a way of capturing these stories and putting pen to paper. Reflecting on the things that we do with our hands and feet, you will develop ideas for creative writing that explore our journeys, our sense of identity and belonging, and our 'prints' in the world.
