Talk by Griffin Coe, Curator (Art)

Frances Walker CBE RSA is one of Scotland’s most highly-regarded living artists. In the 1950s she was sole teacher of Art for Harris and Lewis in the Western Isles. The experience led to a life-long love of wild places. Her landscapes encourage us to look more closely at the natural world she celebrates, and to embrace a way of life that seeks to keep it, and ourselves as part of it. In this talk, art curator Griffin Coe explores a sense of place and a sense of wonder in the art of Frances Walker.
