What's On In Aberdeen

ECIR 2017 (European Conference on Information Retrieval)

From 08 Apr 2017 To 13 Apr 2017

ECIR is the premier European forum for the presentation of new research in the field of Information Retrieval. Robert Gordon University are delighted to announce that ECIR 2017 will be returning to Aberdeen, Scotland for the first time since 1997.

ECIR 2017, Aberdeen, has aimed to be inclusive of researchers stretching from the Northwest of Europe such as Scotland and Scandinavia, to Southeast on Eurasian boundary with Turkey. We have enabled collaborations with co-chairs for roles providing the opportunity for established researchers to work with newer researchers in their roles. The programme now includes a new Doctoral Consortium for enabling wider student participation. To enable further opportunities for networking and social activities, we have provided the options of short trips to castles and distilleries nearby upon request.
